Whittemore and Owosso Speedways have reached an agreement that pertains to drivers who may choose to race each facility.

If you win the feature at one track and then the next week win the feature at the other each track will contribute an additional 50 dollars to your winnings.

That will be an extra 100 dollars in your payout for that dual feature winner.

We have done this in addition to alternating our schedules in an effort to work together and not force drivers to choose between facilities.

If you couple this along with the bounty Whittemore has set on Ryan Ostrander the payday could be quite lucrative for a driver.

Owosso is running every Saturday night alternating mods and limiteds weekly.

Whittemore is running every Saturday night alternating limiteds and mods weekly.

Hope this clears it up for folks. This saturday at Owosso the Limited Late models are running. This Saturday at Whittemore the Mods are running.

Points do not tranfer between facilities or anything other than if you win at both places in succession it will pay off a little higher for you. Thanks. Jeff

well that sounds like a good idea... but what if your running for points at owosso in the mods for example Bill Lickhurst and owosso and whittemore are running the mods on the same nights i almost can gaurantee that bill isn't taking a night off from owosso to race whittemore so are owosso and whittemore going to be running alternative nights??

Please explain further. Does this mean Owosso will be running every other weekend. Whittemore is too far for me to drive to every other weekend. Im not sure this is a great idea. You risk chasing off cars that cannot make the drive to Whittemore. If Owosso runs every other weekend I will be forced to keep my AC set up and race there. You might want to think this through. Let me know what you come up with. I will be as supportive as I can but I cant drive to whittemore every other weekend. After all not everyone wins. Is this just for mods and LM I guess Im not fully understanding.

I think they are alternating the two top end classes.. so if Mods are at Owosso.. then the Lates are at Whittemore. Then the following weekend its the opposite.

I believe its just the mods and limiteds on the alternate plan , all other classes are every night .

Just so everyone is on the same page here- the schedule is alternating between the two top classes at Whittemore and Owosso. That is all.

Mods are on one week, then Limiteds the next. Whittemore has done it for a couple seasons now and we at Owosso are doing the same type of format.

Not every class, just the mods and late models. Hope this clears it up


This weekends Whittemore has mods on featuring the Randy Saddison Memorial and the late models are off.

Owosso has Late Models on and the Mods are off.

We have Late Models and Modifieds interested in running both tracks so both tracks put together an incentive for the possible dual feature winners.

We are not asking everyone to travel, we are just encouraging those that may consider our facilities.

All of those things happen about as often as Haileys Comet coming around. Combined your odds of winning the lotto are better.

just kidding of course. A quick Whittemore story though, one time after a rainout I was having a couple beers with Buck, Todd, Jeff Heri, and a few others around the campfire. I have narrowed it down to one of those 3 shortening up my cane by about 3 inches. I just about spun out in turn one while heading to take a leak. It was not pretty- but it was real funny.

Well Jeff, this can be arranged to happen more frequently than the Hailey's Comet deal. As a matter of fact, I could get you drinking about every Wednesday!!!!! Well, I guess I can't make Rick buy, but with what your doing right now, there are lots of people that will step up and buy you a beer, and I'd be one of the first!!!!

Yes, most recent winners are eligible. Ostrander would be eligible at Owosso in the LLM and whoever was the last winner in the MODS at Owosso would be eligible at Whittemore.
