daaaaaaaaamn dude... I had no idea that you'd won until they called you up there. Congrats, I'm definitely jealous.

How did the rules work out? Did you end up having to change the car all around?

Glad you could make it out!

Thanks a bunch guys. I had the best time Ive ever had at the races. Thanks to the Inloses for showing me and my kids a great time. Thanks to the Shindewolfes, The Gov, and Hunyadis for all you did to make this race happen. Ill be back next year to do it again. See you all then! Oh no Gavin I didnt change a thing. I put on 8" wheels on the right. Stiffer rear springs and away I went.

Cool news Chad, that is awesome man. Your first win is always the most memorable.

Thanks again. Im going to ham and egg it for a minute and do a few thank yous (you know like I won an oscar!). There were only a few people there that I knew last night so I would like the chance to thank them today I know most of them read these threads.
Biggest thanks of all to my Dad, Nick J, Dan Bailey, JD, Chad L., LJ, Lonnie Sr, Chris "Big Chief" Marks, Chet, Joe "Tubomania", Tony Brabbs, and Luke. There are many others who I may have missed, but these people all had there hands in it. Nick Johnston spent many a long day helping me both financially and physically Dude you da man I cant thank you enough. My Dad and Dan Bailey gave me the passion I have for racing, and taught me all that I know I have more respect for these two men than anyone. I have forged many frienships since I began to race as well. I think this community is bad ass. I know we all have problems with one another, but for the most part we all care about eachother, and love the level of competition we have. There are four people on my list of thank you's that are my friends and competitors, and I have alot of respect for them. WoooooooHooooooooo!!!!!!!

Yeah Kyle this is an awsome concept for a race. It was kinda like the Whittemore race at the end of the year. Jeff and Rick you need to get something going like that. I would be happy to do the leg work to help promote it. Last night I bet there was at least 3 maybe 4k in contingency. Owosso is tight knit enough to pull that off.

Congrats, and I am glad to hear you had a excellent time and won a feature...

They used to have the Owosso "Nationals". I'm still hoping they can get it back at Owosso, now THOSE were good times.

He called last night to congratulate me and that was one fine moment for me. Gary I'm with you he's the best, and I count myself lucky to have him for a friend. Not just as a racer, but as a friend.

Ha ha I remember the car light football. Driving through the back of the track in the woods. Way way fun. I would love to see that race back at the big O. In fact I would be at the front of the line to make it a success.
KCR87
I remember the endzones being candles of sorts, dudes walking around Sunday that looked like they couldn't walk no more, the live band in the infield, flipper lighting fireworks at redneck basecamp, lots of good racing, lots of people, enclosed trailers that looked like dance floors with disco lights and loud music...

MAN I miss it, I'm with you Chad...I'll be behind you!
NickJ
great job chad, im very glad to see all the hard work put into it pay off for ya! many people race for years and never win a feature, you managed to accomplish it within the first couple months! im sure there will be many more but nothing as awesome as the first one, and for it to be a special show is even better. im happy i was able to really push to help get it done before all this chaos with my own cars kicked in. who knows i may be racing my own factory stock right now if i hadnt helped but given the chance id do it all over again just the same. congratulations!

good job chad I wish could of been there to see that. many more to fallow

As an announcer, I try my hardest to stay unbiased. I show love and appreciation for every driver I announce for. But I must admit, when it is someone you are actually GOOD friends with, and it is their FIRST feature win EVER, and I get to take his kids down to be with him in victory lane, and watch all that, I even become overwhelmed with emotion!!!! That was the best, sweatiest hug, I ever have received!!!! I (and everyone here) know just how hard Chad has worked to get here, all the money it has taken to build his car the right way, not to mention everyone else he has helped along the way. It was absolutely awesome to watch it all happen right in front of me.

Before 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Chad had never even seen Springport Motor Speedway, he had never taken a lap on the track. He got there too late to practice. Came out to qualify with NO time on the track, and qualified THIRD!!!! And the move he made to avoid the HUGE wreck at the start of that race, was not rookie like at all. And then later had to avoid a spinning Jon Smith on the back stretch, which was also a very good move.

The first one they say is always the sweetest. It is my honor to know that whenever Chad thinks of that first one, he's going to remember Springport, his children, the awesome trophy, and my fat a$$ with him questioning him in Victory lane!!!

My wife came down and took some very good photos, plus our track photographer was taking quite a few also that I will be grabbing for Chad this next weekend. I also know of 2 of our regulars that were shooting video. One on the front stretch, one on the back stretch. I will try to get one of each for you Chaderbox!!!

Congrats my friend!!!

Chad, congrats! I know you have worked hard to get the car on the track and when you win like you did it makes it so much sweeter. Good luck the rest of the year.

I wish to congratulate Chad on his Feature win Saturday night.

I was able to get up trackside for the last couple of laps of that race and watched him take the flag.

He was flat out running that car, and it looked good on the track.

Nice job Chad, nice job.

have a good day,

Thanks Matt! I loved racing Springport. The car was so good. It remained neutral throughout the entire race. I was lifting early at the end.
