What tires will be OK to run?
What will be the min weights and %'s?
will it be an ABC feature type format?
What final gear ratios do lead sleds use on the big track?
What final gear ratios do factory stocks use on the big track?
What final gear ratios do the sportsmans use on the big track?
What type of supensions will be allowed?
some of us Flat rock folks want to come but need time to get gears built/bought/borrowed and maybe tires too,,,so we need a lot lead time to get the equipment needed for AC's 1/2 mile. So the sooner we get the info the better.
Thanks, Arnold.

I'll give you what I can remember from last year.
What tires will be OK to run? Basically any 8" tire. Everyone used 970's.
What will be the min weights and %'s? I think there was just a min. weight I want to say 2600-2700 lbs. (My car weighed over 3200 so I wasn't concerned about that)
will it be an ABC feature type format? Yes
What final gear ratios do lead sleds use on the big track? Not sure.
What final gear ratios do factory stocks use on the big track? Depends on what you want to turn. I run a 5.88 and turn 6900 or so.
What final gear ratios do the sportsmans use on the big track? Same as factory stock I would think.
What type of supensions will be allowed? Basically anything as long as you meet the weight.
Last year the A-main was made up of 3 modifieds, 1 late model, 5 or 6 sportsman and a thunder truck. Dixie was having a big modified show that same night that pulled most of the mods. Also K-zoo ran the real Super Shoe that night. The A-main was 50 laps, and paid around $150 to start if I remember right. The lead sled had their own feature (which is a nightmare most of those cars have no business being on the half mile).
I also think there were a few rules concerning aluminum heads and coil-overs but I can't remember them right now.
If you are a Flat Rock car all you really need to do is change the gear and bring it up and you should be legal I would think.
I would call the track and tell them you are thinking about coming and would like more information, otherwise it may not be available in a timely manner.
Any questions about last years race just ask Arnie.

heats are set based on time... so it's not by class of car. As Kyle said .. a mod a factory stock and a truck could all be in the same heat.

flat rock and toledo are off that weekend.
Toledo sportsman and Flat rock Street stocks and Figure 8 cars cars would work,
they all have cast iron heads,
and run 8 inch wide Hossiier sportsman tires ( which are narrower and harder than AC's 970's).
Also the toledo gearing is what a lot of guys have and they run the week befor at the Glass city, with 5:13 to 5:43 gearing.
These gears are not ideal for AC, AC guys run more gearing.
but for the FR SS and F-8's they run Cast iron exh. manifolds, so running less than ideal gearing may not be too bad.
the FR SLM's all have aluminum heads, and would not be legal.
will AC have a flyer on their web site that can be down loaded and printed, so that it can be passed out?

Last year my brother took off the tailpiece on his car, put on 2 spoilers (one in the normal position on the deck lid and one on top of the rear bumper since the bumper cover was off, although they did very little they looked cool) and a mini-sideboard just for creativity.
There is room to be creative with your bodies as well.
I don't think any rule changes are necessary, this allows the highest amount of cars to participate.
