I'm willling to bet that there are at least 100 total teams each in Late Models and Modifieds in the three areas with regards to current teams racing at those three tracks as well as other teams in the area that race elsewhere, and even teams that aren't racing anywhere but have cars sitting in the garage.

I'd be real interested in "New" drivers moving up to Late Models and Modifieds from the Street Stocks, Sportsmen, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, Led Sleds, Four-Cylinders, Hornets, Pony Stocks, etc., ranks....

Any of those thinking about the move up in 2009?

In addition to those that are thinking about moving up from Sportsmen, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, Led Sleds, Mini Stocks, Pony Stocks, Four-Cylinders, and whatever else I didn't think of, are there any drivers out there who perhaps have cut back on their racing over the last few seasons that are thinking of getting back into it?

Also how about Super Late Model drivers or drivers who've spent the past few seasons running a traveling series that are thinking about moving down to Late Models and/or Modifieds?

Nate Freel #53 is from Flushing

Interesting, and he heads up to Whittemore on Saturdays.

Wonder why he don't run Dixie on Fridays and/or Owosso on Saturdays when Whittemore is running Mods? He's only about 20 minutes from Dixie and 40 minutes from Owosso.

They have property in National City, Nate works in Tawas.

The 08 Chris Bithers ran at Owosso two weekends ago, maybe Mr. Fobbe (MyOpinion) could help with that one.

There are some duplicates on here (More than one driver that has driven the same car.)

The #17 LM Stan Boyd and Chris Stearns have both driven that car as well as the #88 LM of Dave Christensen and Kenny Ford have shared time in that ride.

Providing i'm not missing anyone, (Which I believe i'm not) this is every single driver who has competed at least once during the 2008 racing season at Dixie Motor Speedway, Owosso Speedway, and Whittemore Speedway in the Late Models and Modifieds divisions with Car #'s, Drivers Names, and Hometowns.

Looking up and down these lists, these are some of the premiere drivers in the state let alone in this region!

Plus there's the potential of other drivers from other tracks looking at calling one of the two series' home. (Providing those potential drivers follow the proposed and currently being worked on S.T.A.R.S. Procedures and Rules)

This has got me pretty darn excited about the possibility of all of this and the potential this really does have!

Both Sorget and Schalk came from Onaway Motor Speedway and both are from Rogers City, MI. Bithers is from Perry, MI.

Does anyone know how many of these drivers have driven at all three of these tracks this year? I know of at least one (73 Ed Doutre), and a good number of them, I know, double at Whittemore and at least one of the other tracks. What I'm wondering is if this were to start in the near future, how many of these drivers would be willing to travel weekly, or just run when the group comes to their home track and try to play spoiler.
