Is there any place on the west side that runs karts on dirt??

OK I'll try again,,, is there any place in Michigan that runs on dirt? Or I guess even Northern Indiana??

There is a place up near Houghton Lake that runs on dirt I believe. Somebody like Bishop, Met76, or TaBogie will probably chime in as they all have Go-Kart experience.

heres a track that is over in the middle of the state they say it is one of the best ones in michigan http://www.vestaburgkartspeedway.com there is also a 1/4 mile pavement track in mottville in the sw corner i think that is more of an outlaw track as far as rules go

Manistee, Kalkaska and Houghton all had dirt tracks 10 years ago. I ran in Sandusky for awhile with a informal 'run what you brung' club too. There was a group in Caro - (Churchill Speedway). Lucky thumb ran a big dirt road course - http://karting.5u.com/race_schedule.html

The best tracks were in Ohio. Lima, Cridersville, Sycamore, Fremont and Willowdell Raceway.

Is there still a track at Gas City, near Mt Pleasant?

Theres a new one in Mio , and Eidenville . Houghton lake and Reese (Aurther raceway) are still active . Im new to the kart scene so I dont know very many places .

More input would be helpful .

Kevin, go to the I-96 web site. They are doing some stuff with carts, not sure about racing but they do have a dirt cart track.

Nice dirt track for karts in the Traverse City area, Kingsley Speedway. Large kart count.

what's the closest place to Flint? Arthur's looks like it from what I've read here. Dirt preferred.

I think I'd like to run one of these on off-weekends next year.
