Boyne at Berlin
fastforward
The "out of towner" race is a great idea and I hope it entices many of the east-side Michigan cars to make the trip to Berlin. Just read the flier above.

Mike Blackmer has a passion for racing and I hope he is supported well by the racers, especially the outlaw supers.

See you there.

anyone know if there is a rain date for the boyne?

At least one "Out-of-Towner" is racing in the Boyne at Berlin Super Late Models, Chad Finley is pulling double duty in Supers and making his debut in the CRA Super Series.

How many other Central / Eastern Michigan Super drivers are going over?

Should be a great show this weekend. There are already 32 entries for the CRA Super Series show including Michigan legend Fast Freddy Campbell, Brian Campbell, Phil Bozell, Andy Ponstein, Tom Thomas (in Tim Curry's FLF House car) all from Michigan. Throw in all the CRA regulars including Johnny VanDoorn, Scott Hantz, Boris Jurkovic, Rick Turner plus many others and it's one of the strongest CRA fields of the season. Check out all the pre-entries at:

Hopefully there will be some eastsiders show up for the Outlaw Super Late Model race.
BTW, there is an announcement today on Speed51 that Mike Blackmer has purchased Berlin from the Whitecaps, pending Fair Board approval.

It was stated on the Racing Show that there IS a open date in Mid-October if needed.

this race is probably the biggest show of the entire season in michigan. i will be there both friday and saturday. i sure hope that the weather holds out as it looks pretty crummy right now. as far as a raindate goes they have advertised the raindate as being october 17-18. unfortunately for me that is also the same weekend i will be at the dirt track world championships, so i am hoping they can get it in.

Here is the schedule for the weekend:

The byline of this thread is not correct. The Out of Town feature is not the only feature on Friday night as you will see from the schedule. Should be a great weekend of racing, as long as the weather holds!

they didnt end up running an out-of-towners race because there wasnt enough cars show up. and to my knowledge there will not be a b-main either.

Since the make up date is Oct. 18, are there any other outlaw supers planning on attending now that the Glass City is complete, as well as the Main Event in Columbus which will be over by then?

I think they are waiting for a format annoucement. The original out of towner race was scrapped, 26 showed for the weekend. Not sure if those 26 are locked in?
