Wow Joe Dirt really is DIRTY!. Now I realize why this is what his nickname is.

Joe spun out the #55 and then continued to drive the #55 into the wall! Most people know how to race a clean race and win because they can. Obviously, after witnessing this action tonight he is not a clean racer. He actually should have gotten the black flag when no more than 10 laps in and his car was on fire. Must be the flag men didn't see the flames coming out from under his car or he plain didn't care if the car caught fire.

I feel sorry for him thinking that's what had to be done at the finish line for what, 6th place. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP BUDDY.

Keep it up. Just remember what comes around goes around.

Go #55! I know you can celebrate season championship at Owosso!

I was not at Spartan Speedway last night..

But I can't believe this version of the story.

I know Joe "Dirt" Bates to be a very clean driver... and one of the nicest guys in the pits.

I have raced with Joe for years now and would consider him to be one of the good guys both on and off the track.

MD*, I don't know who you are, so this isn't anything about that, but I'd like to hear what some other people who were at Spartan have to say about this, because what your describing isn't what past history has shown.
TODD METZ SR.
Maybe the flag man was waiting to see if some " dirt " would fall down from his car and put the flames out ??????????????

Was his driving style " HOT " ????????????????

well i was there and seen it all and yeah joe dirt usually does drive ok but last night he really actually hit dan. and about the fire thing dirt wasnt going to put out that fire as big as it got. and i talked to the flag man and he knew that dirt was on fire why he didnt throw the yellow is beyond me.i mean leaving him out there was a threat to the rest of the field. and dirt knew he was on fire but he wanted to fininish better in points. all night the flag man wasnt doing a very good job throwing the caution late so i mean if they would have blacked flaged dirt when they should have dans car wouldnt have looked like a tin can at the end of the race . i mean he just comes out there for fun cause he is in the lead at owosso and they take him out its just not fair.the only thing that is dumb is that it all could have been avoided.they even blacked flaged a pure stock cause he was lightly smoking i just dont understand it all just bad decisions on the flag man and joe dirt. we were going to come out and race out there in a few weeks but not if there going to take us out but all well spartan is not as good as a track as it use to be.but good luck to joe dirt and dan.
