Patrick McNamara drove the #94 tonight, not Alva Clark.
Alex Donnert drove the #8b in the feature, not Shawn Goodine.

The #94 finished 3rd in the heat race.. the #17 was one lap down.

I just wanted to say what a great night of racing it was at Owosso last night.

After several off weeks (mostly Mother Nature related), the show went off nearly flawless and the racing was great.

In the Mod Race, Silva just dominated.. there was very good racing further back in the field. but the no. 8 qualifier got to the front and nobody had anything for him.

In the FWD Race, the racing was fantastic with the first 6 cars crossing the stripe within a second of each other and all 6 of them taking the white flag thinking, I got a shot to win this thing. Good number of new cars.. this class is exploding. Paige Amy from A/C & Shonda Harbin from Sandusky giving the class a boost of girl power. I was particularly impressed with Paige Amy who got pushed around and muscled a little bit in the heat race (and her first race at the Big O) and came back in the feature with her gloves pulled up and chin strap done tight ready to give it right back and really raced her way to 3rd. Derek Lacey in the O'Neils Auto/Team CRC #37 with his 2nd feature win !

In the Street Stock Race, it looked like all Leo Smith until he got caught up in a deal and all of a sudden the B1 and the 92 were out and it was like sharks in a pool of blood going for that feature win.. and the X15 truck of once he got his nose into clean air just took off.

The best race of the night (outside the long, long, yellow flag) was the Pure Stock feature.. great racing action from front to back.. the front group of cars went back and forth and while McMullen held them off to hold the lead.. 2nd, 3rd, 4th seemed to change every lap. Moore and Snover's last lap should be nominated for best finish of the year..

no they are not. the top two in the feature was dq. that gave keven the win. i don;t know about the points , but the list of the feature finish is wrong.

i dont think they were dq if theyer it was it was bullsh*t everyone gets a fix it thing but last night no one could wow they are going to start that with 3 weeks left thats a joke i was dq for a stock gm part it aint my falt they cant read the rule book and for anyone to say i was dq for cheatin think agian i was robbed i was beat 3 week in a row i got 2nd and was robbed than if thats the case they all got fit its right ? i think if your going to do a fix it thing dont stop doing it with 3weeks to go what are we made of money aleast let us have the winter to get everything right what happend last night a owosso was wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i asked jeff 5 time to get a rule book and nothing was done its a joke like i said and i wont be back inless something is done to fix this

At the drivers meeting we were all told there were no tickets anymore. I am just curious and NOT accusing you. Did you have a question about a part before the race? And did you bring up the question to the tech officials? Just trying to figure out the process

What was the official ruling on the DQ? What was the part in question?

It was announced last week and this week that there are no more fix-it tickets. It was said both weeks that if you aren't compliant you will be DQ'd.

I need it for gas money to make it back from Big Rapids for the rest of the races. I will buy you something from the concession stand next weekend though for correctly picking me! Isn't there something there that you are particularly fond of?

it was a vega converter! no were in the rules say anything about converters or size just GM and the tech men had 7 or 8 weeks prior to tell us to change it! we have been thru tech several times and never even a warning! and there were told what converter was in it before we started racing there! i go out of my way to make sure my cars are legal

Please tell me you didn't get 3 fix its for the same thing? We were all given warning twice that there were no more fix its. We all have to make sure our own car is gonna pass. Why is it the tracks fault if yours didn't pass?

The 32 Team Has Never Got Fix It tickets! Other PPl Have got them when we have finished 2nd.But for them to Change rules after the season is almost over That Is CRAZY we are upset for That! me in Dad (Rich) Make sure the car is legal for every track we run. When we first starting Running There we got told it was ok For us to run that converter. Even in the rules it says nothing about torque converter rules. Just GM. Thats just like Dad said In his Post.So it is The tracks Fault for not having that in the rules. ok, thanks for the clarification. i was not trying to be confrontational, i was just trying to understand. The track has whatever right to change that rule whenever they want. Thats why its their track. I hope you can figure this all out and come back. Call or email jeff and rick, i have seen them do whatever possible to make things right/better for the drivers.

Well guys. Im gonna start like this.

Im very proud of the way KC has grown as a driver and handled himself trying to get better each week.

No tech that Im aware of ever at any time ever said a small diameter converter was legal in pure stocks at any time since we bought the place on July 1st.

It says stock transmission.

I announced the first week we bought the place at the drivers meeting that tech would be getting continuously tougher each week until we announced 2 weeks ago that non compliant cars would be DQ. It was announced at the drivers meeting this week- Non compliant cars would be DQ. That is why pure stocks have been asked to move up when caught with non compliant items in the pure stock class. There is no surprise there. Rich was standing next to me at the scales when 2 cars were moved up 2 weeks ago.

A track record car this past weekend was DQ for small diameter converter. He moved up a class to finish the night.

If there were any question at all about converter eligibility it should have been addressed at once. Rich you have dealt with me personally for a number of years now and if you have been treated unfairly in any way in that time you have never spoken a word to me about it.

KC is very capable of winning races with most any car you could bring over here. He is not going to get a parts advantage over any other driver. Any car checked who had non compliant items was DQ, Just like pointed out at the drivers meeting.

The antics in the Tech barn and with the staff were disgraceful and no member of our staff at Owosso will be treated in that way.

I expect to be talked with just like I talk to everyone- a calm voice. ask questions and then listen for the answers.

I am very sorry you are dissasisfied with your night at Owosso. I do not feel the best place to air out the problems that unfolded are on MSTRC.

I will stand on my reputation for people to judge what is right or wrong. Thank you. Jeff

for one thing i dont beleave any track owns this page and we are in the usa right i said how i felt that was it and how i felt with the tech man no prob with jeff i under stand the dq part i just dont see how its right to do it with 3 weeks left when i was beat by car that had the same thing the week before i am not mad about the dq part of anything and neil dacker a tech guy told us the night in the tech barn a vaga converter was legal and it is a stock gm converter so i guess i missed it or the track need to get all the tech people on the same page

just on my own, two things, i mean that the TRACK is theirs and they change whatever they want whenever they want.

And my other one was a question on weather the fix it was for the same thing or different things each time. I really hope you do come back...it is a great place to run.

Well Rich you are making a fine choice here hannging my dad out on this. While I dont know what was said between my dad and you, I find it a bit hard to believe that after seeing a guy get sent to the SS for the same infraction you think they would let you slide. If you thought it was a legal converter why do you keep a dust cover on yous? We both know very well there is no 10" coverter ever built for a 350turbo. The likelyhood you were running a stock vega converter is slim to none. It is pretty slimey of you to hang my dad out like this you know damn well he would help you at any turn. You are really showing some fine charachter Rich.

for one thing its casey not rich and your dad did tell use the vaga convertet was legal so i dont no ill have it out thiss week and bring it with me wow they dont no what there talkin about its they say the dont make one for a 350 tran lol maybe u just dont have the $$$ tryed to say because it had a blue stripe lol go buy one new they all will i still got all the paper work for the convert i just got it becuase i was told it was legal so tell the tech to get a book and do some home work and like i said i dont care anymore its the same as autocity just a longer drive they need to get people in the barn that now what there lookin at not knockin neal but im sure u guys havent ever brand of converter made i told them i would pull it for them right then a 20 min job gm gm gm gm gm im sorry i have the money to get good gm stuff

chad you better look close at the screen names pal you got a problem with casey take it up with him! call me one more name theres going to be problems!! fact!! as far as what happened at owosso jeff i did NOT air anything out on this thread i would not say to your face!! i have been pm'ed buy 2 people that hide behind screen names saying that OWOSSO OFFICALS told them we recived 3(fix-it) tickets for the same thing which not true!! we have been there for 7 or 8 weeks plenty of time to look under the car!!!!!!! everything else was checked!!! thanks for that!!! with that said i have had NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT OWOSSO i missinterrupted the rules MY FALT there are VERY vague stock trans no glides the converter in the car IS a vega converter not a coan!! if it would have been checked it would have been changed i WILL not have people thinking i INTENTIALLY cheated we dont have to cheet to win!! bottom line when you get labeled in front of a crowd as a cheater things will get heated for that i am very SORRY for the converter i am NOT it should have been checked! we have been in tech several times and the car is looked at every week by the tech men there were sure to check the easy stuff every week i have already lost one driver this year! i guess it dont matter if my cars are there or not! this is my out look on this matter not anyone elses as far as i am concerned all of my racing equipment is for sale i am over it!! ps jeff has ALWAYS been a straight shooter with me!! and for that i thank you!! rich

some times we forget it is a honor to earn a spot high enough to go into the tech barn.
some times tech can be high stress and tempers are sure to flare. i have been on both sides with a car and with a track it the best and the worst, its why we love racing.
let the people talk as long as no personal attacks happen. good honest talk is what THIS board needs. to much smoke and mirrors and sugar coating going on. If its a skunk call it that but some people like the smell{a disagreement}. I am glad I am an American its in our nature to speak up.

the track did not change any rules at all

Performance enhancing parts were DQ during an after qualifying inspection and during an after race inspection.

Confrontation with Staff and Officials will be dealt with as well.

People that have been at Owosso weekly know what is announced at each drivers meeting and how things have been handled here.

We bought a track that had the philosophy of letting most things run in an attempt to get more cars.

Our approach is different than that and it was handled in the best way we knew for a mid season take over.

We announced it. began reigning in tighter and tighter each week and 2 weeks ago announced fix it tickets for performance parts were done.

People caught non compliant in the last 3 weeks before races were asked to load or move up. Some chose to go to other facilities where they thought they could run. Most stayed right here at Owosso and moved up a class.

People that read it on MSTRC and then comment are basing opinions on rumor, innuendo and half truths. This is how things get blown WAAAY out of proportion.

Rich Snover has been a friend of mine for years now. KC and Rich are on the same playing field when they pull through the gate as everyone.

No special circumstances were handed out to anyone. Owning the track is how it has to be.

People get really ticked sometimes - but to keep a track open its what we have to do.

Converters were checked in the barn after the races and at the scales when a record was set.

A general tech is perfomed on each car as they cross the scales to qualify here. More inspections are performed after the races. Cars 3 events prior to this past have been issued fix it tickets when their stuff was not right. Now if the techs say its wrong they are DQ. Nobody wants to do that- but its what has to be done.

I do not see any reason to call anyone names or say you'll never be back. I think I can speak for everyone when I say I enjoy seeing you there, racing your guts out every week putting on a show for guys like me to watch and enjoy. Change the part, come back, and race as hard as you ever have.

There is nothing wrong with AC guys, Owosso Guys, West Branch guys,Ovid guys, St Johns guys, Whittemore Guys, Springport guys or any other guys.

We all are in this together.

Whittemore had cars from all over the state each week race together. Owosso is getting to be the same way.

We all need to be in it to survive.
