Fix the rules and the people, or tear it up and go back to dirt. Never had a bad count when it was dirt.

yeah.... that what happens when you play favorites. officials quit and drivers go else where. and take their families with them. no cars + no crowd= no racetrack very simple equation..... some one needs to fix it, AC my fav. track and it would be a shame for it to get any worse than it already is.

I read the subject for this thread and was gonna say, must've been in the air.
We were out at 10:15 or 10:30 at Flat Rock. We had: 21 SLM, 55 Street stocks (and that was skimpy, last week we had 68) and 16 Figure 8's. And it was autograph night. No big wrecks, few blown engines... just for some reason they were really pushing the show through.
I liked it. Now if they would just kill that silly tractor that comes out to dust the track... why can't the cars do ... or guys with brooms.

Speaking of the Factory Stock feature, that was one of the worst cases of favoritism I have seen on the track in some time. How in the heck do you spin a car and not go to the back? Everyone, and I mean everyone around me in the stands saw the M-15 hit the 22 in the rear quarter and spin him. I'm not saying it was intentional, but that doesn't matter. If they don't find the M-15 at fault (and I don't see how they in all honesty could not have) then the 22 should have been sent to the rear. I heard after the race the reason was because the 94 car had already spun. Hmmm, were they watching the same race in the tower that I was? Classic example why cars and fans go to different tracks or find other ways to spend their disposable income. This kind of blatant favoritism ruins any type of integrity you may have had. Integrity is like virginity. Once you lose it, it's gone forever.

I have to agree here. And it is nothing personal against either driver, I like both of them, but everyone around us was confused and talking about it. What kind of message is this sending to someone who is new to the track? Heck what kind of message is it sending to everyone else too?
I mean if you're going to play favorites, at least don't be THAT obvious about it.

I was glad they didn't put me to the rear......I would have been a very unhappy person had that happened!!!
But heck, I was happy to finish a race!!!
I have some more thoughts about the Auto City situation but I am going to keep them to myself until the season is officially over!!!

Let's see what happens in the next two weeks. The Pro Lates are back this week and the Superpro's are back in two weeks. Superpro seems to bring out a good crowd at AC and they have put on some real good shows.

A guy that was sitting near us in the bleachers with a scanner said that they were gonna send the M15 car to the rear but Roger told the tower he had brought out the caution flag for the #18 car(not 94) that had spun in turn 1 before the M15 hit 22.

Lets get the story from the driver of the favortism playin M15 car....
I went into turn number 3 on the bottom and locked up the brakes and bumped Kyle. I was going to tell Rusty that I did hit him because I did, but when they gave us both our spots back I did not tell him. The part with the 18 and the 94 car did happen in turn 1 which therefore is before turn 3 so the caution came out first. Now that thats over I talked to Kyle after the race and he said his car was pushing so he was running a line where he'd go in high and then right to the bottom in the corner. Im sure he would even agree that it wasn't intentional and he was running that line. I'm not saying I hit him because of the line he was running but again it's not like I hit him on purpose!!!!

The early outs were in the air. Merrit was done by 10:30 and we were done at Crystal at 11:15. Merrit was sans the Late Models and were down on count due to that (only 80 cars). We were also down at Crystal with around 120.
I don't mind early nights....but with next week being Championships....ugh, you know how drivers race for trophies!!

no one said you did it on purpose chris but everyone knows a/c plays you as their favorite and lets you get away with almost anything you want. they will black flag someone else for the same thing you have done and they let you finish the race. anyone else running over their time they black flag but for you, they call your dad to the tower to have him tell you to slow down alittle. you have a hood hanging off the side of you car throwing sparks all over the track and they let you race, but another racer had a similar problem and they black flagged him on the same night. if thats not favortisim then i don't know what is. when you drive rough it is okay but when someone else does it they get into trouble. this is what is driving down the car count at a/c. people are tired of it. and yes, they are going some where else.

i saw this accident too, i was watching from the chute, i saw the 18 car spin and yellow come out, almost the same time that kyle and chris got together... i think from my view the yellow came out a millisecond before kyle got spun, very fortunate for chris, but their spin didnt bring out the yellow, the other did, so it didnt count is what i assumed. i think a lot of people where watching the battle up front a didnt notice there was already an accident on the track, most assumed the yellow came out for kyle, and got upset.

Car and crowd counts were down every where last weekend M I S Woodward cruise, Oakley tractor show three big hits for the crowd attractions. So don't jump to conclusions and say every track is going under it was just the weekend. Think positive

Complaining about getting out too early is a first. At least they didn't drag a small car count out with tons of intermissions and useless wastes of times. I'd rather see a show get over timely than drag out until the next morning.
