With all the neg. B.S. going on out there I thought I would post something a little positive going on. This Friday night at Autocity Speedway Joe Dewitt has given the OK for some guys from the Fire Dept. I work at to have a MDA Fill the Boot fundraiser. As you know it's Labor Day Weekend. It's also the biggest MDA fundraising time of the year. Every year 1000's of U.S. Fire Fighters both professional and volunteers help collect money for these kids and together we have raised Million's of dollars yearly. If you are attending A/C this Friday for the Super Pro race please drop some change or dollars in the Fire Fighter Boots. I'm going to see if Joe will let them make a pass thru the pit area too. We did this boot drive a few years ago at A/C and it was a great success. 100% of the money raised goes directly to MDA from our Fire Dept. To tell you how much these guys want to do this fundraiser. Yesterday they passed the hat around at work and are buying a few of the tires I need to race with the Super Pro guys. They want to see the MDA decal on the hood of the car out front. I'd like to thank Joe and Bill Lackey for helping us with this great fundraiser.

Denny;
Let me put the first $20 in your pit area boot and I challenge all SUPERPRO teams to do the same.

Just as an FYI:
The Waterford Fire dept is working with dennis on this event, it does have the blessing of the Clio FD. We didnt want to be rude and come into their home town and step on toes.

On behalf of myself and the rest of the Waterford Twp. Fire Dept. Local 1335 I would like to thank everyone that donated to our MDA fund raiser last Friday night at Auto City. Together with what we raised at A/C and other Fill the Boot fund raisers our dept. did this year we were able to donate $11,183.00 to MDA on Monday. As a whole the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) donated together over 23 million dollars to MDA. I believe that was around 1/3rd. of the total money raised for MDA. So whether you dropped some money in our boots at the track or some Fire Fighters boot on the street corners we just want to say Thank You!

P.S. I was told that more money was collected in the pit area than in the stands. Way to come thru guys!
