Talked to several people whoh went down to BFS for the $1000 FWD Open and heard some horror stories.. from the Baerfield Message Board:

What I saw was some Baerfield regulars deliberately drove guys off the track.. That guy from Plymouth with the Saturn was flat out wrecked, done it on purpose.. that's disgraceful.

Letting the guy with the obvious illegal car race was a joke.. thing was, he was there 2 weeks ago too, everyone knew it and the track didn't do anything. Pretty obvious the promoter was willing to allow anything to increase his car count.. I'm sure he thought $1000 would bring more then 20 cars.

To top it all off, you have a drunken brawl in the "alcohol free" pits.. at the eleven year olds pit box no less... what the hell were guys thinking ?

All the Baerfield workers off-track were great. Very friendly and helpful.

The on-track workers were jokes.. played obvious favorites, over looked negligent behavior by some drivers, didn't put their foot down when then things started getting out of control and then didn't do anything but say sorry when the fracas was over.
