Okay, I have had it up to here with this topic and I am going to let everyone know what I think right now!!




What is up with the Turn 2 lounge at Auto city?? Last I looked, it was in turn 4??? What kind of bulls**t is that!!! They say "go to the turn 2 lounge for drinks" so everyone goes to turn 2....nothing there!!! This is an outrage!!! Auto City should be ashamed of their actions, they are always trying to screw everyone over!

But seriously, why is it the Turn 2 lounge??? It really is in turn 4!!

I asked that very same question Kyle, I've yet to get an answer.

I have a few theroies, but better not share them at this time.

Kyle, I don't want to steal the thread here but the name of it made me reply.

I listen to the drivers meeting every week and hear these words " If there is any rough driving, a yellow will be thrown and he will be sent to the rear"

Well Saturday night was another great example and these policies not being followed. On approx. lap 17, I was passing John Summers through turns 3 and 4. Let me make sure it was a clean pass til we came out of 4. We touched and I turned to get away from him and he deliberatly turned left and ran me all 4 tires into the dirt. Now what should the call be. Should that be considered rough driving or just the same ole' calls at the Auto $hitty Speedway!!! Whats your guys opinions on this????

Ask Joe hodginson what happen to him,he was sent to the rear alone and did not even touch the guy he was supposed top have hit. In the meeting i heard that anyone crashing were both going to the rear. did not see it happen to anyone i watched. Bad deal for Joe cause he lost a position in the final points and a shot at a win thru no fault of his own......

Hopefully none. Kyle's thread started out on a light note, Tater turns it heavy.

Turn 2 Lounge sounds more professional and austere than Turn 4 lounge, after all, turn 2 is the start down the long backstretch wherein conduct unbecoming is often greeted with looks askance and lifted eyes, wherein turn 4 is where it all hangs out to the end.

Kind of like life, turn two heads you into middle age and the doldrum years, turn four leads you into the final chapter, and it had better be a good one.

Therefore, it is obvious that the AC fans prefer the professional and austere, middle age identity?

I would like to give a large high five to my son jimmy stratton who brought home two checkered flags Sat night passing Timmy Near with a couple laps to go .All 3 drivers Jimmy ,Timmy and Lonnie are within 4or5 hundreds of a second;; there has been some great clean dogfights to the the last lap for all 3.Whoever wins the championship and obviouly Timmy has a awesum lead;; all 3 deserve a great round of applause for the decent and respectful show they have put on all year. Again my hats off to all 3 of you for a job well done.

I too would like to say congrats to some more spectacular racing by Jimmy Stratton. He surprises me every week!!! Just when I think he is the best he gets better!!! Good Job Jimmy!! Actually my question was literal....I was hoping someone who had been to Auto City long before myself would know the answer.

But you all can take it anyway you want to I guess.

I was just trying to add a little humor to everyone's day....because it seems every week someone is on here complaining. So I used a post that everyone would open (reading the title) and expect to see some more complaining, and then see that, and laugh.

Back in the day when Jack Doerring owned the track the bar was called Red's checkered flag lounge. A few years ago I remember a contest of sorts to come up with a new name for the bar. I don't remember if this was when Dr. Bob was coowner or after Mr. DeWitt became sole owner. Why they picked that one, who knows! The name turn two lounge makes no sense to me and I have thought it dumb since the inception. I did find it funny that you named your thread what you did for the subject matter.

chris stearns never drives rough now does he, lol. like last saturday in the feature against #17 that won the feature. in turns 1 and 2. i thought that was someone other then the tater that did that because he doesn't drive rough now does he.

Oh you are soo right.. thats why my car still look the way it did when the year started. If you actually were paying attention to the race you would have seen me passing him clean and then him running me into the dirt. But no you obviously just have a problem with me and need to get over it. i have no problem with you chris, really. i just don't like the way they show you favortisim and will make calls and black flag someone else but when you do it the officials let you get away with it for some reason. i know in away it is not your fault but then again it is because you do know right from wrong. and you are the one driving the race car not them. and i was watching the race and seen what had happened. if he drove you in the dirt then why was he the one going side ways next to the dirt with you almost draging him around turns 1 and 2 ? why is your dad allowed in the tower but no one else can. these are the things so many people, other then just me, see and hear. i am really glad that i took this year to just sit out and really watch, lol.
